Shot Lists for April

Updated: Jul 6, 2023

All living things are slowly awakening from the freezing winter; we hope you could boost your energy while enjoying warm spring days.

1. Easter

One in four South Koreans is a Christian, and this rate is considerably high. Create an Easter stock image to target them. Lifestyle images featuring the symbols and accessories illustrating Jesus and His Resurrection would be suitable.

Requested Images: People enjoying and sharing the joy of Easter. Children decorating Easter eggs. Variety of food celebrating Easter. Christian symbols including Bunnies · Sheep · Chicks · Eggs · Doves · Nests · Candles · Cross · Crown of Thorns · Olive Tree · Palm.

2. National Science Day

April 21st, National Science Day, is a day that numerous science institutes in South Korea put their effort to promote the national interest in science and technology. Design the stock images that feature the future leaders of science cultivating their scientific, critical, and creative mindset by having fun on National Science Day.

Requested Images: Professionals giving lectures on various science subjects to children and/or teenagers. High teens engaging in career activities with the help of university student mentors. Children drawing creative posters depicting the future of science and technology. Children engaging in a variety of events at the Science Museum · Forest · Stream. Children using science supplies such as Molecular models· coding programs · electronic experiment kits.

3. Spring Combined with The Image of Water

What kind of scenery comes into your mind when you think of the word ‘spring’? If it is an image of green fields under the clear, blue sky, we suggest you try a new concept for this year. Capture the creatures full of vividness around the dewy season of Kogu(곡우, 穀雨), the sixth solar term of the year that ‘brings luster to hundred kinds of grains’.

Requested Images: Moist greenery with the soft spring rain. Interior image showing the outside of the window featuring the spring rain. Spring aquatic plants like Duckweeds · Water Crowfoots · Pistia Stratiotes. Amphibians waking up from hibernation, including Frogs · Toads · Salamanders. Rice planting and dry-field farming. Vegetables being sowed around May such as Water Parsley · Parsley · Crown Daisies.

4. UV-light-related Lifestyle

Products that protect people’s skin from UV light, which is ‘one of the main enemies of skin health’, have been developed for many decades. These products also reflect people’s changing lifestyles as well; patch and/or mask-shaped UV-light ‘protectors’ for people who enjoy outdoor sports, and sunscreens without ‘oxybenzone’ which is known to kill corals for conscious customers can be great examples. Grasp the rapid-changing society in the circle of everyday lives in the form of stock images.

Requested Images: Sunblock creams · sticks · sprays · cushions. Clothing and accessories protect the skin from UV light including Visors · Sunglasses · Parasols · Masks · Arm Sleeves · Patches. People enjoying the sunny weather under the clear sky. People sitting under the shade to hide from the Sun.

5. Housing Community

In a traditional form of community, members of the family took care of each other. However, it’s disbanding quickly. Therefore, an alternative form of housing community is getting more and more attention; not to let anyone more forgotten in the indifference and alienation. This kind of community, in which members are making effort to make their own lives better together in the same place, is getting spread on a national level. Direct an image that shows the newly rising housing community against the wave of an aging, hyper-personalized society.

Requested Images: Housing communities with similar or various age groups. Residents’ Association Meetings · One-Day Classes · Hobby Gatherings · Dining taking place in a housing community. Image of shared Kitchen · Living Room · Reading Room · Library · Office · Gym.

If your images contain a recognizable face, a model release must be submitted together with the images. In addition, if your images contain a place, an object, pets, or other properties that require consent from ownership, copyright holders, or property rights holders to use them, a property release must be submitted with the images. Not submitting such releases may result in content rejection by the editor.
